Itinerary

Thurs 13th Nov – Check-in at Millbrook Resort from 3pm and meet your Sports Travel Downunder Reps

Fri 14th Nov – After breakfast, join us and experience the thrilling Shotover jet ride. We will then visit the marathon expo. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, experience more of what beautiful Queenstown has to offer or unwind before race day!

Sat 15th Nov – Race Day! Enjoy an early race day breakfast where we will have a race briefing, we then make our way to the start line. We will meet you at the race finish area and take you back to Millbrook to relax and rest. Later on join us for a post race celebration drink, then the night is yours to enjoy in vibrant Queenstown.

Sun 16th Nov – Check-out at 11am. We wish you a safe trip home or take some more time to explore this beautiful part of the world!

Course Overview

The course starts at The Avenue, Millbrook Resort, and finishes at the Queenstown Memorial Centre Recreation Ground, offering a unique mix of undulation running terrain, with 70% of the course on smooth hard packed trails and 30% on road. Regular running shoes are fine; trail running shoes are also an option. The course highlights include Millbrook, Arrowtown, Arrow River, Lake Hayes, Old Shotover Bridge, Twin Rivers trail, Lake Wakatipu, and Queenstown Gardens. Choose between 42km, 21km or 10km distance

Eligibility

  • Marathon entrants must be 18 years of age on race day.
  • Half-Marathon entrants must be 16 years of age.
  • The minimum age to participate in the 10K is 10. Children under twelve must have an adult running with them

Time Limit

The course time limit is seven (7) hours, with specific cut-off times at various points

Number Pick-Up

The Sports Expo at Queenstown Events Center is open during the following times:

  • Thursday, November 13: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday, November 14: 10.00 AM – 8:00 PM

Awards

Everyone who finishes will receive a Finisher Medal. Prize money will be awarded to the top three Men & Women in the Marathon & Half-Marathon

Temperature

Average temperatures range from 6 – 18° or 42 – 64 F. Please remember this is an alpine environment so conditions can change rapidly

All taxes and pricing in NZD. Land Prices may change due to currency fluctuations

Reservations and Payments

A completed booking form along with a deposit of $500 per person must be received when booking before confirming your reservation. Final payment is due by 15 October 2025. Once we receive your deposit we will send you your race link to book your spot

Cancellations

All payments, including deposits, are non-refundable

Insurance

Trip cancellation, baggage, health, and accident insurance is highly recommended for all participants

All travellers must secure their own electronic visa to enter New Zealand and any required documentation
