The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon will be held Saturday 4 – Sunday 5 July 2026 on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
Its famous flat, fast and scenic course located alongside the city’s renowned surf beaches and Broadwater plus ideal winter running conditions result in 60% of participants achieving personal best times each year. (Please note we are unable to sell race entries to Australian Residents)

Hotel Details
The Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach hotel offers a luxurious stay with a prime location near the beach, shopping, dining, and the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Easy access to a wide array of shops, cafes, and restaurants in Broadbeach. Approx 30 min drive from the Gold Coast Airport. It is a 5 minute walk to the G Train access to start and finish line.

Itinerary
Fri 3 July Meet for welcome drinks early evening, then you are free to explore the great restaurants in the surrounding area. Make sure you visit the expo to pick up your race bib, conveniently located 5 mins walk from the hotel
Sat 4 July Race day! If you are signed up to the Gold Coast Half – this is race day! Sports Travel Downunder Reps will escort you to the race start. After your race, make your way back to the hotel. Enjoy the day on the course racing, running, walking or spectating! Best of luck to all the competitors and a big thanks to all the supporters.
For our marathon runners, perhaps start the day with a shake out run, then enjoy a restful day before race day!
Sun 5 July Race day for our marathon runners. We will make our way to the Gold Coast Marathon start line, then meet later on for our post celebration dinner.
Mon 6 July Congratulations on your marathon experience! We wish you safe travels if you’re heading home or if you are continuing your holiday in Australia, have the best time!

Course Overview
100% road surface. Run alongside the city’s renowned surf beaches south to the Miami turn point and then head north along to Paradise Point before being championed to the finish chute located adjacent to the Broadwater in Southport.
Eligibility
Marathon entrants must be 15 years of age on race day for the half marathon and 18 years of age for the marathon
Time Limit
Marathon – the course time limit is 6 hours 40 mins
Half Marathon – the course time limit is 3 hours 20 mins
Temperature
Held in the middle of winter, the weather conditions are traditionally great for running with low humidity, little wind and mild temperatures with lows of around 10°C / 50°F and highs of around 21°C / 70°F

Reservations and Payments
A completed booking form along with a deposit of $950 NZD per person must be received when booking before confirming your reservation. Final payment is due by 14 Feb 2026
Cancellations
All payments, including deposits, are non-refundable unless as specified in our terms and conditions

Trip cancellation, baggage, health, and accident insurance is highly recommended for all participants
All travellers must secure their own electronic visa/ entry requirements to enter Australia
